Privacy Policy

At Pdivnote, safeguarding your privacy is central to everything we do. This document outlines how we handle your personal information with the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection.

1. Service Description

Pdivnote is a free, web-based tool for creating encrypted notes. These notes can be shared via single-use, expiring HTTPS links that become inaccessible after being opened once.

Pdivnote does not transmit these links; it is entirely up to the user to share them securely through their preferred communication method.

Using different platforms to send links (like email, SMS, or messaging apps) may expose them to interception, which could allow third parties to access your note.

2. How the Notes and Their Contents Are Processed

The unique link is generated in your browser and never sent to Pdivnote servers. Only you (and your recipient) have access to it. If lost, the note is unrecoverable.

Because Pdivnote never stores or accesses the decryption key (contained only in the link), no readable form of the note is retained. Not even Pdivnote administrators can retrieve or view the content.

Under default settings, once a note is accessed, it is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.

Alternatively, if a user sets a delay for deletion via the “Show options” feature, the note remains available until that time passes—regardless of how many times it's accessed.

After deletion, recovery is not possible.

Notes not accessed within 30 days are auto-deleted as though they were read. Even in rare cases of unauthorized access, encrypted content remains unreadable without the private link held by the user.

3. Processing of IP Addresses

Pdivnote processes IP addresses only for active communication with its services. They are never logged or stored long-term and are discarded as soon as no longer necessary.

4. Pseudonymous data

Users may include personal data in their encrypted notes. Though technically decryptable, Pdivnote does not store any associated IP data, ensuring anonymity.

Access and decryption remain solely with the user (sender and receiver). Pdivnote holds no keys, cannot decrypt any data, and therefore cannot associate data with any individual.

The decryption of the note's data is in the users' hands (sender and recipient). Pdivnote is not able to decrypt the note and access the data (personal or otherwise) introduced by the creator since Pdivnote is never in possession of the decryption key which is contained only in the link.

5. Disclaimer

By accessing a Pdivnote link, you acknowledge that Pdivnote bears no responsibility for the contents of the note.

6. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Pdivnote does not sell, share, or disclose your data to any third parties, and only uses information as described in this privacy policy.

7. Use of cookies

Pdivnote uses cookies—small text files stored on your computer by your browser when you visit a website—for the purpose of improving your experience on our site and with our services. In some cases, cookies may also be used for promotional reasons. Below is a list of the types of cookies that Pdivnote uses.
